On January 23, 2026, celebrations filled Kibogora Polytechnic in Kanjongo sector, Nyamasheke district, as 2,359 students graduated in the fields of Health Sciences, Education, Business Studies and Theology. The graduates pledged to contribute to the country’s development.

From 20th to 25th September 2025, a team of KP top managers, composed of the Vice Chancellor, Dr. Dariya Mukamusoni, and the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Academic Affairs, Prof. Viateur Ndikumana, undertook an official visit to Babeș-Bolyai University (BBU) in Romania.The main purpose of the visit was to learn from BBU’s academic and administrative practices, explore potential areas of collaboration, and gain insights into international best practices in higher education management, research development, and quality assurance.

Unraveling the Genetic Secrets Behind Fish and Crustacean Coloration

A groundbreaking study published in the Scientific Research Journal of Biology and Life Science has shed new light on the genetic mechanisms responsible for the vibrant colors seen in fish and crustaceans. The research, conducted by Murwanashyaka Michel of Kibogora Polytechnic University and Lihua Jiang of Zhejiang Ocean University, explores how gene and genome duplications drive the evolution of pigment synthesis pathways in these aquatic organisms.

Today on 18th January 2023 at Kibogora Polytechnic was Graduation ceremony for 190 students who have completed the training on Fundamentals of Computer  Applications organized in 2022 by Kibogora Polytechnic in partnership with The Embassy of the State of Israel for Rwanda through STEMpower Rwanda,among the graduates 33 where from Kibogora Compasion International,25 from Groupe Scolaire Frank Admson,25 from EMLR Kibogora Voice of God Choir,55 from Kanjongo Youth(Intore zo ku Rugerero) and 26 KP Support Staff.
